John + Amy | Engaged

Guys.  Seriously.  So excited right now.

John and Amy are getting married!!!  I've known John for about six years now (Boomer Sooner) and he is one of my most precious friends.  When Amy's name started coming up more regularly, we all knew that something special was going on!!  When I was able to meet her, I knew--match made in heaven (I don't say that lightly)!  I am so excited that these two get to experience marriage together.

We went out to the Arboretum and battled crowds and weddings (I think we counted four or five!) and salmon colored pants (again, I think we counted five or six!) and had the afternoon to focus on the two of them and their sweet love for each other.  Sigh.  So cute.

Also, check out the last few photos--they decided that instead of using a vintage bike, like many have done (and so well, I might add!), they would use John's triathlon bike.  Can I get a YES!?!

Weddings

So psyched.  Met with a bride, groom, and mother-of-the bride yesterday.  A quick 30 minute meet-and-greet style meeting quickly turned into a 2 hour event that ended with them sitting on my couch at our house!  I am so blessed.  That wedding will come in May, and I have every confidence that it is going to be a beautiful, blessed occasion.  We're a good match for each other--something huge when you're looking for a photographer, especially a wedding photographer.

In other news, I have a sweet awesome engagement session coming up this weekend.  It is going to involve romance, trees, and ice cream.  Don't be jealous, that's how we roll in the 903.

Brittany + Moustapha

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THESE IMAGES.  Like, so so excited.

Brittany answered the Call about two years ago and headed to Africa--Niger, I believe.  Except for a brief visit, she's been there ever since!  She came home for Christmas and brought a dear friend with her.  This dear friend became her fiance on Christmas day! They head back to Niger tomorrow, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to hang out with them today and get a few photos while we had the chance.

I told them about a thousand times that they were cute and adorable and perfect and lovely and aahhhh!!!  I meant every word of it.
