Scotty + Chelsea | Married!!

When Jeff and I were dating, I was jealous of couples who met each other at a stage in their lives where they could quickly date, become engaged, and be married, all within a year or two.  It didn't seem fair!  We were together for three and half years before we were engaged, and then waited another full year to get married.  That may not seem like a long time to some, but we never lived together, or anything like that, so, booyah, yes, it was a long time.

I have to imagine that Chelsea and Scotty were in the same boat.  When I met these two, they were probably a year or so into their relationship, and they were just juniors in high school (I hope I got that right)!  All through high school, college, and cosmetology school, they have remained loyal to one another and to their Heavenly Father, and I know this wedding was a sweet, sweet day for them.  I was so blessed to be a part of their celebration!  It reminded me of the expectancy and joy Jeff and I experienced on our wedding day, and helped me to appreciate all over again that long courtship and long engagement.  What joy when the day finally comes.

Scotty has family from Spain, and they brought Chelsea this handmade fan to celebrate in Spanish tradition!  Super cool.

Handsome ushers

...and groomsmen!

You!  No, you...

WOOOOWEEEEE!!!  Sorry ladies, he's married!!

On with the dress, and presto-chango...

...the most beautiful bride in the world!  Heeeeellooooo nurse!

Gorgeous bridesmaids and flower girls (all nieces of the bride!  Beauty is a dominant gene in this family.)

Chelsea and Scotty didn't want to actually see each other before the ceremony, but they did want to talk.  This is one of the images I grabbed before I ran away so they could have a private moment!

I don't remember what song these two played and sang, but it was gorgeous.

Look at that glee.

I mean, seriously.  Can you hear the music?  At laaaast...

Father's Day Part 2

We were so blessed to be able to spend Saturday with my dad, and Sunday with Jeff's!  We had such a great time relaxing, eating beef stroganoff (YUM), and watching the Ranger's.  Perfection.  Here are a few family photos from our time with the Egger family!

First, the Craigs--have you seen a cuter family of three?  Nope, nope you haven't.  Also, look closely--it's a family of four!!!  Can't wait for little girl to get here at the end of the summer.

Pops and his favorite (albeit, only) grandson!  Cute cute.

Wyatt the lady killer.  He's perfect.

Terry/Dad/Pops with his two kids and two grandkids! (Again, look closely :)

My man, the chapstick salesman.

Aaaand, the whole family!  From left to right, Wyatt, Colby, Tiffany, Karen, Terry, Rebecca, and Jeff.

Terry, thank you so much for setting the example for the kind of man my husband grew up to be.  You have always been so loving and generous with me, with your time, money, and talents, and I am grateful to have you for a father-in-law.  Thank you, and we love you!  Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best doggone dad in the world!  I love you to the moon and back, and am entirely undeserving but incredibly grateful for every opportunity you've provided for my siblings and me.   Thank you for giving me the family I have.

Right to left:  Kyle and Sandi, Arturo, Kent, Samantha, Melissa, Anthony, Mom, Jeff and Rebecca, Jenny and Tye.

"Gangsta" style.  What's up, haha!

Anthony, age 5

Samantha, age 8

Arturo, age 10

Melissa, age 16

Jenny, age 22

Me! Rebecca, age 25

Kyle, age 27

Momma, age...haha!  Just kidding :)  Isn't she beautiful? Their 35th anniversary is this August!  Dad's a lucky duck.

And a couple bonuses.  Melissa was feeling particularly model-y today!  So was mom.  Work it, ladies!

Father's Day has always been special, but this year I am acutely aware of what a wonderful father my dad is.  Truly.  Sacrificial, consistent, fair, loyal.  Best friend my mom could ever have.  God's gift to all of us, especially my four youngest siblings.

Love you, Dad.  Happy Father's Day!

xoxo Bec
