When Jeff and I were dating, I was jealous of couples who met each other at a stage in their lives where they could quickly date, become engaged, and be married, all within a year or two. It didn't seem fair! We were together for three and half years before we were engaged, and then waited another full year to get married. That may not seem like a long time to some, but we never lived together, or anything like that, so, booyah, yes, it was a long time.
I have to imagine that Chelsea and Scotty were in the same boat. When I met these two, they were probably a year or so into their relationship, and they were just juniors in high school (I hope I got that right)! All through high school, college, and cosmetology school, they have remained loyal to one another and to their Heavenly Father, and I know this wedding was a sweet, sweet day for them. I was so blessed to be a part of their celebration! It reminded me of the expectancy and joy Jeff and I experienced on our wedding day, and helped me to appreciate all over again that long courtship and long engagement. What joy when the day finally comes.
Scotty has family from Spain, and they brought Chelsea this handmade fan to celebrate in Spanish tradition! Super cool.
Handsome ushers
...and groomsmen!
You! No, you...
WOOOOWEEEEE!!! Sorry ladies, he's married!!
On with the dress, and presto-chango...
...the most beautiful bride in the world! Heeeeellooooo nurse!
Gorgeous bridesmaids and flower girls (all nieces of the bride! Beauty is a dominant gene in this family.)
Chelsea and Scotty didn't want to actually see each other before the ceremony, but they did want to talk. This is one of the images I grabbed before I ran away so they could have a private moment!
Scotty's dad and mom
I don't remember what song these two played and sang, but it was gorgeous.
Look at that glee.
I mean, seriously. Can you hear the music? At laaaast...
