Life Update

Well, things are looking pretty good for the Eggers.  I have two more weeks of school left, and Jeff only has three.  I can taste summer time.  It tastes like snow cones, if you were wondering.  And hot dogs.

School is good.  I love my job.  Of course, there are days that make me want to pull my hair out, but I assume every job is like that.  I have 80+ kiddos this year, all sophomores.  Next year I'm going to have on-level seniors in addition to my on-level and Pre-AP sophomores, which sounds like a full plate--but I think I'm going to have about the same number of students.  Class of '12 and '14 are both little.  I'm excited about having the seniors, even though that means that a good teacher-friend is leaving.  They're the first group I taught, and we drive each other bonkers, but they're perfect.  :)

Jeff has had such a successful first year at his school as well!  He's been able to work with and encourage and manipulate (just kidding!) a few toughies into graduating, which is beyond remarkable.  I admire him so much.  He coached football, basketball, and track, all at the junior high was well as the high school, and the varsity teams all made playoff runs!  Basketball made it all the way to the state tournament, which was such a once-in-a-lifetime experience (that will hopefully surprise us and repeat itself many times over!).  I love my coach!

Nolan is growing up so well!  He's seven months old now, almost 50 lbs, and as smart as a whip.  He's also a pain in my booty, but what big ol' puppy isn't?  He has a few basic commands that he's mastered (sit, stay, down, speak, etc.), and a few that we're still working on.  I think he really wants a buddy to play with (I gather this when he starts biting and gnawing on my arms and jumping all over me, barkingbarkingbarking!!!!), but Jeff  we're not there yet.  Whoops, did I say that?  Haha!!

And photography.  We're doing pretty well in this department as well!  There are busy seasons and slow seasons, and fortunately things have been a little slow recently, which has been awesome, since school has been pretty hectic the past few weeks.  However, I'm ready to be busy busy busy again, so send me an email or give me a call if you're interested in a shoot, and we'll work it all out!!  I'm still running a "31 Days of May" special, and I'm going to provide a HEAVILY discounted disk with that, so you definitely need to ask me about that.  :)  Thanks to all you for your continued support.  I love what I do, and I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Take care!

xoxo Bec
