Brainwash | Lauren Clark Photography

Well, you guessed it!  ...or you didn't.  At any rate, I spent last Wednesday in Denton at a Brainwash taught by the one, the only, Lauren Clark!

I had a blast.  I still need to go back through my notebook and remind myself of everything I learned...but wow.  A big thanks to the hubs, the sis, and the friend who encouraged me to go.  Good investment, that's for sure.

Zoom it out a little and look who you see!

Thank you so much to our beautiful models, Lindsey and Brian!  And thanks to Lauren and the other girls.  More to come tomorrow...get ready for a b-e-a-utiful bride!!

Photos coming soon...

I took a personal day on Wednesday to attend a workshop taught by a very well-known Texas photographer.

Hint:  she's great :)

Other hint:  technically, she's not in Texas anymore.

Think you know who she is?!  Betcha do.

Headache avoided! Packaging made simple.

Recently I found myself scouring the internet, trying to find affordable, yet beautiful packaging for my disks and products, as well as tools to make informational booklets to send to brides, etc. I was overwhelmed thisfast. Do you know how BIG the internet is?! Haha...stupid comment...but seriously.

The cheap stuff would help me keep my prices as low as possible...but it wasn't very pretty. So I'd start looking at products a liiiittle nicer. Then a liiiiittle nicer. Then, OOH look at this one! but it was waaay too pricey. Conundrum.

Then...the Great Solution. I shouldn't capitalize that. Jesus is definitely the Great Solution. And this is definitely not as cool as Jesus. But it's not too shabby, either.

Caroline Ghetes posted an incredibly helpful article on her blog several years ago.  She spent months and months finding affordable, beautiful, eco-friendly (whoops, should have thought of that on my own!) products and compiling a valuable list of all the venders she uses, plus a few more!  The list only costs $25, but every penny goes to missions.  Really, it's a steal.  I'm surprised she doesn't charge more for it.  Anyways, I won't tell a single secret; you're going to have to buy the list yourself.  :)  FYI...it's totally worth it.

from her blog:

Gorgeous, right?!

Jenny's an Aggie for sure now

Sister got her Aggie ring!  We're all so proud.  Houston, Howe, Anna, Greenville, and Rockwall all came to see this Big Moment happen.  We were not disappointed.

Prom 2011izzle

This girl (points at self) found herself caught up in a whirlwind of prom activities the past few days!  I had about 4% responsibility, which miiight have been as much as I could handle.  Anyways, it was really great, really fun, maybe the best I've been to--and I've been to a few, letmetellya.  What made this one so special, you ask?  Here's a hint.

Unedited, unabashed, oh you lucky ducks who had these chaperones.

Vanessa + friends | Mesquite, Texas

I wish I had this idea when I was growing up!  Vanessa had a big ol' birthday party-sleepover, and then had me come over the next morning to get a few we'rebestfriendsandwe'llloveeachotherforalways photos.  I had so much fun!  The four of us walked over to a park that was (vaguely :) near her house, and pretty much just played around.  You girls are gorgeous!!

Oh yeah!!  Work it, work it!!

I won't say how old they are...because you won't believe me.  They are beautiful beyond their years!  I wish I had been this confident and cute when I was in high school!!

BarronCP | Recording Artist

I don't know if "Recording Artist" is actually the right label for this guy or not, but it's at least pretty close!  Barron is a dear dear friend, and he graced my classroom last Friday with a host of dynamic and inspirational presentations.  My kids were floored.  And you know tenth graders don't tend towards that reaction too often.  So this guy is the real deal.  Fo realz.  Follow BarronCP on twitter!  @BarronCP

These photos were taken before we left the school with my snazzy new flash ring.  Not too shabby!

Barron likes to fly.  In fact, this is how he travels.  You know, in the air.

This location may look familiar--we used the same location as Loren's shoot.  Glorious.

Rawr.

MMM yes!!  You'll be hearing more from this guy.
